Polpette Italiane Di Stile
(Italian Style Meatballs)


1 lb. each - Ground Beef, Pork, and Veal
2 Eggs
1 C Freshly Made Seasoned Bread Crumbs
2 Cloves Garlic, pealed and finely minced
2 tbl Fresh Chopped Parsley


2 tbl Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 C Freshly Made *Seasoned Bread Crumbs
¼ C Olive oil
Salt & Pepper
 
    Mix the eggs and the oil together. Add the egg mixture to the bread crumbs to moisten. Mix all the other ingredients together with the bread crumb mixture. Shape into golf ball sized balls.

    Gently drop into the simmering sauce.
    Version #2
    Add a little olive oil and peanut oil to a frying pan. Heat oil over medium heating while adding meat balls. Fry to brown, turning when ready. Add to sauce to finsh cooking throughout. If you want the meatballs without the sauce; after browning, reduce heat and slowly add about a ¼ C of water and put a cover on the pan. Let simmer for about 20 min. Don't let all the water evaporate.
    Version #3
    Pre heat oven to 350o. In a baking pan, add some oilve oil to lightly coat the bottom of pan. Shape the meatballs and place them in the pan. Bake for about 25 minutes or until browned on bottom. Turn meatballs and replace in oven. Bake for about 15 minutes more or until browned on bottom.
